OK, so we seem to be going from deluge to drought. We can never accuse our weather of being boring.
If you haven't fertilized yet, you should definitely do so soon. If need be, get in touch with us and we can have it down in no time. We use either Alpha One organic fertilizer (details about it can be found on the links page) or Gateway's private label. For some years I've followed a schedule of trying to match fertilizer applications with the growth cycle of bluegrass. Late May and early June are when you get the most bang for the buck when it comes to fertilizing.
We got over 2 inches of rain in just 3 days this past weekend. That got lawns looking good and growing fast. If yours is getting ahead of you, let us know and we can help. We have no problem with one time mowings.

It will soon be time to trim lilacs and other flowering shrubs. It's a good habit to cut a few branches all the way down, or as far as possible. As many as one fourth will not harm the shrub, and will over tinme rejuvinate the plant. Let us know if you'd like help with this.
